  12. faeriesmutty: As someone recently separated who was living with my ex for three months in our house, with our dog (my dog), until our lease ended, this is exactly what I needed. I’m only a few minutes into this, but it’s mirroring so much of what I’ve been feeling. The idea of moving on, but feeling stuck, of having to share space and it feeling so normal, but also the discomfort of it…. We walked that line of civility, stiff normality, and it was the strangest and worst three months. When I finally moved into my new apt in March, I slept well for the first time in months. I’m still settling in- there are still untouched boxes, and our break wasn’t as friendly and Beth and Parker’s, but between all the stress and upheaval there is truly that sense of accomplishment. And after two months in the new place, I’ve finally managed to sit in silence with myself again.

So everything else aside, thank you. For representation, for quiet mourning and quieter hope, for new routines and the promise of returning to myself, regaining the pieces that have been chipped away over the last few years. For sapphic yearning and possibilities. 🌹🌹🌹
