\* James checks into his hotel and runs into Delia, Gregory's daughter. She's convinced her father isn't missing—he's just hiding. James questions her in the elevator before heading to his room.
\* Back in his room, James finds a bank statement left for him, revealing that Gregory had been making payments to a mysterious blackmailer.
\* James visits the Barclay villa, where Gregory's assistant, Tom, confirms the blackmail and points James toward the truth.
\* James questions Gregory's troubled son, Mark, uncovering more cracks in the family's carefully maintained façade.
\* Over a candlelit dinner, James and Rosalind flirt and trade theories, until Rosalind shocks him by dragging them both into the pool to prove he isn't wearing a wire.
\* When Rosalind discovers the tattoo covering James's arm, he reveals the real reason he took the case: Gregory Barclay destroyed his father's life years ago. James offers Rosalind a dangerous bargain—they'll find Gregory together, and he'll finally get his revenge.
